On the Agricultural Fund for Migration

The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), an instrument for the financing of the common agricultural policy, mobilizes funds for the integration of refugees and illegal immigrants into France. The institutions of the European Union therefore support, via the European Rural Development Network, this project which proposes aid of EUR 520 320, withdrawn in fact from the first beneficiaries of these funds, that is to say the agricultural world. Already, in September 2015, the Commission had chosen to redeploy a sizeable part of the funds, about EUR 7 million, yet promised to the EAFRD and the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund to deal with the refugee crisis in Europe.

Can the Commission motivate its choice to mobilize these funds for purposes other than aid to the agricultural world?
